1.Are feelings emotions and facial expressions universal across borders, happy, sad, etc..?
Yes. I think that body language is different by each country, but feelings emotion and facial expressions are almost universal.
For example...
1. When we are happy, we show a tooth and laugh.
2. When we are angry, we knit our eyebrows.
2. Try to name as many feelings as possible in Japanese. ( 10 minimum) Now write the English translation
①嬉しい…happy ②楽しい…pleasant ③悲しい…sad ④寂しい…lonely
⑤嫌い…didslike ⑥気持ちのよい…comfortable ⑦いらいらする…impatient
⑧満足している…satisfied ⑨失望した…disappointed ⑩わくわくする…exciting
3. Are there any feelings in Japanese that cannot be translated into English?
①やばい
②まじで
③いただきます
④どんだけ
⑤ありえない

I also think that words used by young people have many emotional expressions only for Japanese.
As you said, I think Japanese slangs are sometimes a little difficult to translate into English, too.
Oh, great!! You could find 5 feelings that cannot be translated into English. I often use "majide?"
